The Gospel Play

NARRATIVE
Wayne is a gospel rapper that can’t seem to get that big break in the
industry that he truly feels he deserves. He knows that he’s good
enough to make it, but that elusive break just keeps getting away from
him thus causing unwanted complications in his relationship with Sarah,
his live-in girlfriend. To make matters worse, Sarah’s family and
friends start to give him more problems then he would like when it’s
found out that he had a lucrative recording contract to do secular
music that he turned down. Wayne and Sarah struggle to pay the bills,
and Sarah’s outspoken mother, Mrs. Jenkins, does anything possible to
put a wedge between her relationship with Wayne. The only one that
appears to be in his corner is his long time best friend, Richard, so
it appears. - Sarah and Peggie are undeniably the best
of friends in this trilogy. Sarah would undoubtedly stand by her
friend’s side ‘til the end.
- Then comes the life long
friendship between Mrs. Jenkins and Sheila. They’ve been friends since
they were little girls, and Sheila is a comforting shoulder that Mrs.
Jenkins can always count on. Sheila never hesitates to tell her the
absolute truth, regardless of the situation--until.
- Now, comes Mr. Jenkins.
-
Sit back in your chair and watch the twist and turns of what happens in
this nail biter. Strap on your seat belt, pull out your tissue and get
ready because you will not see the ending coming.
- Just know that all is possible but you can’t truly do anything in this life:
